The elements of color, texture, shape, pattern, and balance are what stimulate me as an artist. I have always been drawn to patterns, wherever they occur: in nature, architecture, shadows, fabric.

When I began working with beads many years ago, I found the process very satisfying because, in addition to the endless variety of combinations, there was always a tangible piece of work at the end of the journey. Choosing from a wide range of materials, I build upon a kernel of an idea until it coalesces into a finished piece. My favorite materials include precious and semi-precious stones, vintage beads, pearls, metals, and handmade beads.
